Williams and JCB on song - British engineering working in harmony

Published by Mr. C

Williams Racing announced a new partnership with JCB today. The agreement will see JCB branding on the 2017 cars and team clothing. The announcement is a big win for Williams, despite opening the team to all manner of 'drives like a tractor' jokes.

JCB of course make a variety of construction machinery and are already featured at many a race track, where their equipment drags plenty of hapless drivers out of gravel traps. Mostly though, this deal is exciting because we get to reference the best song ever written about a heavy earth moving excavator - the JCB Song by Nizlopi.

Unfortunately the lyrics might be better suited to a backmarker team than a group of people with an appetite to be fighting at the front.

And we're holdin up the bypass
And we pull over to let cars past
And pull off again, speedin by the summer green grass

Yep, this'll work out just fine.
