How a Christmas playlist should be done - Spreading festive cheer to one and all

How a Christmas playlist should be done

A while back, Journeyer posed a question about what music was listened to at Sidepodcast HQ and we promised to make a playlist or two to demonstrate. Unfortunately, we didn't get round to it but now we're delivering on that promise (sort of). During the past week, I listened to Apple Music's attempt at a Christmas playlist that had one or two classics but for the most part featured party songs, tangential festive tunes, and those slowed down advert covers that are so very popular these days.

I wasn't impressed. So, I took it upon myself to make a better holiday playlist and, naturally, have called it: How a Christmas playlist should be done. This involved sourcing the best of the best of festive choons, as well as having a crash course in making a playlist flow from start to finish. The result, available on Apple Music and listed below, is a work of art.

If you're a Spotify fan, please know I did try and make the playlist there too but they didn't have the first and most important song by Mr Nighy, so it was a non-starter from there.

However, I'd love to know what you've got in your playlist, and if you think I've missed anything, do let me know on Twitter. There's always time for a Vol. 2!
