Wiki highlights - Question everything - Submitting subjects for Joe and F1 shopping

Published by Christine

This month has been pretty quiet on the Sidepodcast wiki front, but it's always there in the background with some excellent stuff to peruse. There are a couple of changes that I'll highlight before we move on to an exciting page from the archive.

Ask and ye shall receive

At the start of this month, I set up the new page to accept question submissions for the new season of An Aside with Joe. The show has been on hiatus over the winter months but it will be back before you know it. If you have questions you'd like us to put to the esteemed F1 journalist Joe, then please make your thoughts known on the Questions for Joe page. You can also peruse some of the previous questions - both answered and left unanswered - from 2009 and 2010.

There are already a few questions on there for the next show, including a further explanation over his idea of shutting comments to only GP+ subscribers, and what he thinks about the cancellation of the Bahrain Grand Prix. Next time we talk to Joe, we will pass those along, as well as the questions you're about to put on the wiki. Go on, you know you want to.

A spot of retail therapy

Now, on to this month's highlight, it's all about shopping. Imagine, if you will, that our race drivers and paddock favourites gave up everything they know and set up a shop instead. It could happen, honest.

What kind of shop would they set up and what would they call it? You can see previous submissions and add your own on the F1 Shop page.

As an example, Lukeh came up with EJ's Excellent Emporium of E-ventions - a shop of sprawling variety, each and every item invented by Eddie Jordan, naturally. Meanwhile, Alex - who invented the game in the first place - is keen to visit Brundle's Bundles.

...a service where he goes around to all the other F1 shops and picks up all of the things that you need and wraps them together and hands them over to you.

Who wouldn't want a service like that?

Head on over to the F1 Shop page to peruse some of the other establishments.

Finally, it's worth noting that there is a bit of spam on the wiki, but it's something we're aware of and are working on. It seems to only be affecting new pages rather than wrecking existing ones, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. We'll get it sorted and the wiki will be as good as new.
