Who goes where 2015 edition // Vettel's move to Ferrari overshadowed by McLaren's late decision

Who goes where in the 2015 driver market

With McLaren letting the cat out of the bag and confirming Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button as their driver line-up for 2015, the grid is finally complete. Lewis Hamilton went into discussions for his new contract but never actually emerged the other side, but it's inevitable that he will stay with the Mercedes team for another year.

It's a cracking line-up for next season, a great mix of youth against experience, and plenty of stability alongside the jarring changes. Sebastian Vettel in the Ferrari is a sight that will take a little while to get used to, as well as Marcus Ericsson out of the green Caterham uniform and in the slightly more muted Sauber gear instead.

Although there was a furore about McLaren's attempts to drag out the suspense, this is actually the earliest we've had a full list (pending Caterham and Marussia's efforts to reach the grid) for a while. There's always some late swaps and final contract wranglings, and that still could happen, but for now those are the eighteen lucky drivers in line for another chance to fight for the title.
