We always sit at the front too - Christine's Rankings, Week 9 - Buying karts for kids and youngsters winning races

Published by Christine

Kimi's good deed doesn't go unnoticed

This week, the racing was all about Max Verstappen taking home his first win - but he only gets a small mention on Christine's Rankings after posting a couple of videos on Dutch and English to say thank you. Elsewhere, Kimi Räikkönen gets his first points on the board this year after participating in a Finnish initiative to buy karts so that kids can have a go for free and see if they get a taste for this racing lack.

There's also points handed out for some dodgy drawing and some double interviewing, as well as minus points for being incredibly anti-social in front of the crowds. Your suggestions are always welcome if you spot the drivers doing something I need to know about!

Movements for Week 9

  • +3 Daniil Kvyat: Handling the whole Red Bull driver switch situation with great maturity.
  • +3 Romain Grosjean: Bless him, thinking the visor tear-off regulation was being enforced already and doing his best to stick by it.
  • +2 Nico Rosberg: Handing over his twitter account to photographer Paul Ripke, it's great to get some extra insight from a different point of view.
  • +2 Felipe Massa: Not being embarrassed to show off some less-than-stellar drawing skills. Bless!
  • +4 Carlos Sainz Jr: Brilliant special double interview alongside Fernando Alonso for the Spanish weekend. Nice when they're talking about meeting heroes.

  • +3 Kimi Räikkönen: Nice gesture, karts for kids - although hopefully not that young.
  • -3 Lewis Hamilton: Sitting off at the front of the driver's parade bus again. (Although it did prompt this amusing Renault tweet.
  • +1 Daniel Ricciardo: Excellent Sebastian Vettel ping pong reference, after the German complained about potential overtaking contact during a race again.
  • +1 Max Verstappen: Nice little celebration and thank you video, which I mostly enjoy for the reflections of the Red Bull bods in the trophy.
