Tweets of the Week - Singapore sling statistics and more - Race analysis and relaxation following the action in Singapore

Published by Christine

Just like that, the Singapore Grand Prix is over and there's a bit of downtime before the action moves on to Japan. We just have time to look back over seven days worth of tweets, and pick out the best. Most are centred around the race weekend itself, including thoughts about hotels, safety car ponderings and drinks at the hotel.

1. Building works are not very useful for sticking to a strange sleep schedule.

My hotel is close to the track which will be great for the rest of the week, not right now tho, still building it!forklifts, beep beep beep 4am

2. It's a wonder they didn't just take all the kerbing up!

Doh! Race control made a boo-boo and announced that the kerb had been removed from the apex of T14 when they meant T13. Happens to us all.

Great race today, close call with Vettel on the pits but luckily managed to avoid a crash, that's the main thing! Good to beat Renault

7. He may almost be world champion, but a guy still has to eat.

Nice end to Sunday night dinner as Sebastian Vettel pops into our restaurant for food at 5am. Told him he was totally mega today. He agreed!

8. The Safety Car action in Singapore has raised questions about SC procedures again.

In my opinion there needs to be changes made to safety car restarts. Having so many backmarkers between the front runners really isn't fair.

9. Rumour has it, Jenson wasn't feeling too well ahead of the race either, so it's an even better result.

Happy with yesterday's result as I feel I got everything out of the car, last 10laps were pretty insane!! Don't think I blinked once!

10. You can rely on Crofty for the statistics that matter.

And I have one stat for you before I fly home. Apparently 3000 Singapore Slings a day were served at Raffles Hotel during the GP, cheers all
