This weekend, the racing in Valencia was perhaps the lowlight of the season, particularly as the sessions had to compete with Wimbledon and Glastonbury greatness. However, it didn't stop Twitter lighting up with thoughts about the action, about the drivers, from practice to the chequered flag and everything in between.

Whiting also said the FIA will look into whether teams should be allowed to work on cars when a race is suspended, as occurred in Monaco.

Started my day at the Virgin motorhome, then (green) Lotus, Williams, and finally the FIA. Now that's what you call good progression.

Just biked 79km 1275m vertical climb 2h58min total about 2500 kcal. Destroyed but happy. I need to be fit for Pirelli F1 tests, really hard.
