Tweets of the Week - Misbehaving in the back row - Word games, press conference photos and how loud F1 can be

Published by Christine

This week, our Twitter feeds were completely dominated by Singapore from beginning to end. The race itself offered an endless stream of talking points, but even pre-race, the unique location kept our teams, drivers and media friends occupied and with plenty to talk about. There were also a lot of pictures floating about of heavy looking clouds, wet pitlanes and worrying weather. Here are some of the best tweets of the last seven days.

1. Challenge - get sticky-hot into a sentence today.

Already in Singapore. The air is sticky-hot as always. It might be the most mental-physical demanding race of the F1 calendar.

2. There just aren't words to describe how awesome this kind of access is.

3. I could just about go for a bowl of Weetos in the afternoon.

This has to be the strangest race ever, breakfast at 4 in the afternoon. Going to be a long night, track is pretty wet for running. Risky.

5. This is why you need to take ear plugs to races.

Second and third in Singapore. Seb just beaten by Alonso. Hamilton = DNF and you could hear his girlfriend's anguish from our garage.

6. It's gonna be close to the wire, this one.

7. Celebrations and commiserations.

It was Tonio's 20th race with the team and Adrian's 50th. A memorable race for sure.

8. How many times do we have to change the results tables?

In the final race results, Kovalainen's car has not caught fire, and Hamilton has finished in third

9. I get the feeling the nickname Fireman is going to stick.

What a race. Kubica was mega, Alonso's on a championship push and Heikki's a fireman. What do you do if you see a fireman. Put it out man!

10. I'm just glad to know that the professionals do it too.

It's that time again on a GP Sunday when I'm still working and the copy/paste blunders kick in. Just caught a "Singapore GP ... at Monza"
