Tweets of the Week - From bad taxi rides, to mid-flight cake - Travelling stories take priority on the social network

Published by Christine

This week, Formula One has been making the switch from Malaysia to China for our first back-to-back of the year. The competition has been hotting up on track, but behind the scenes, people seem to be getting friendlier as well. With a few weeks break coming up, the Chinese Grand Prix had to tide us over in terms of action, and boy did it deliver.

Here are my favourite tweets from the past seven days.

Week Ending: 18th April 2011

1. Mike Gascoyne found the worst possible taxi driver, with a journey from airport to hotel that took many, many hours.

Taxi driver now making lewis hamiltons two changes of direction look absolutly trivial. Hoping we don't get a 20 hour time penalty

6. Lotus are making progress.

It's fair to say that is our best ever day. We beat Perez and Maldonado on pace and Jarno's quickest lap was faster than Fernando's. Amazing

7. Here F1 comes doesn't sound quite right, but you never know, it might catch on.

Red Bull may still have a bit more outright pace than us but great to get first win of the year early on. Europe here F1 comes.
