Tweets of the Week - Don't mix F1 drivers and electricity - Hotels, supermarkets, and getting to sleep on time

Published by Christine

It's been a bit of a waiting game to see if the Korean Grand Prix would actually happen, but now it has been given the go-ahead, the Twitter universe has been scrambling to prepare for what is going to be a brand new experience.

Meanwhile, teams, drivers and media were making the most of some downtime before the action gets underway again, with many people arriving home from Japan jet-lagged and in need of some rest and recuperation. The season is winding to a close, but that just makes it all the more stressful for those involved.

Week Ending: 17th October 2010

1. Heikki realises why some of his electronic goods haven't been behaving themselves.

Maybe it's because I didn't have the correct adapter I just plugged my European charger with a pen in to the UK socket hahah! #fb

2. Virgin Racing's test driver spends time honing his skills. I would think heading to Tesco was also some good mental training as well.

Going to Tesco after 1h playing #F1 in Silverstone with VirginRacing, very nice game. Is kind of mental training as well good for concen.

6. So, we know they're not worried about it. Everyone else is, though!

Bridgestone are expecting a target laptime of about 1m38.7s in Korea next weekend. They don't seem to be worried about the surface. #F1

7. Will misses out the obvious plus point here - he is delicious.

Will Virgin hold onto DIG? One of the best development drivers in F1. More fool them if they don't. He'd be invaluable in winter testing.

Laughing in the face of jetlag by getting up at 2am to catch a flight.

9. We know where the blame lies.

More good news from folk already in Korea! Whatever happens next week, don't forget that the FIA broke its own rules to green light it..

10. Movie reviews from Mr Chandhok. Every day that goes by, I realise he is one of us really. And by us, I mean geeks.

Social Network was very good, though it ended a bit abruptly... Well worth a watch!
