Tweets of the Week - Are you saying boo or...? - A bit of love for Bibendum, plus leaked news at Caterham

Published by Christine

The Italian Grand Prix brought the European leg of the 2011 season to a close, and did so with Sebastian Vettel taking another victory. The repetitive nature of the result does not tell the full story of a race that was intriguing. A little bit of safety car here, a little bit of dodgy defensive driving there, and you've got a good race. Twitter has been full of thoughts on all the action at Monza this week, and here are my favourite top ten of recent days.

Week Ending: 12th September 2011

1. I approve of this very much, and demand pictures.

I have decided that I *need* a Bibendum (aka Michelin Man) costume for my next fancy dress party. Or Hallowe'en. No reason, I just do.

2. If there's any maths that is good maths, it's #f1math.

Press release speed is inversely proportional to on-track performance #f1math

3. Tony Fernandes takes to Twitter to leak some news.

Heikki putting in great laps. Ps. He extended his contract a while ago. Looking at longer term. He's driving awesome.

4. Heikki Kovalainen isn't having any of this blame nonsense. No way.

I see Liuzzi blaming for accident, he should look the video and also read the report from stewards before making any comment

5. When you're winning, the negativity is probably easier to handle.

Loving the boos from the locals.

6. It was a bit short and to the point. Tricky to know what to say about Schumacher, I guess.

Just seen Lewis Hamilton's post-race interview. Barely saying a word, as a result of the criticism he gets for speaking his mind. Shame #F1

7. It is an odd penalty, and completely useless.

The stewards' decision to give Liuzzi a five grid-spot penalty (Monza shunt) is akin to telling Red Bull they have to start from row one.

8. This will make Paul very happy, I think.

Paul di Resta told by Force India he won't have to make way for Nico Hulkenberg in any practice sessions of the remaining six races #F1

9. Points on the board for Bruno Senna, a good weekend all round.

Thanks everyone!! I had lots of fun during the race and I hope these will be the first of many points to come! Looking forward to Singapore!

10. How difficult is it going to be again?

#F1 Domenicali on title chances after Monza: "For sure it's very, very, very, very, very, very difficult." Yes, he said it six times...
