Tweets of the Week - And only 2 points to show for it - Letting off steam, thanking the fans, and paying tribute to the fallen

Published by Christine

Of course, many of the tweets from the last two weeks have been in regard to Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli. There are too many poignant ones to collate into this post, so here's just three.

One for Dan.

I have so many good memories of racing with Dan in the early 90's, a true fighter. We've lost a legend in our sport but also a great guy...

One for Marco.

Marco was a true talent whose light has gone out far too soon on another horrible day for motorsport.

And one for both.

Awful week in motorsport. Makes you appreciate what is important in life and how important it is to live for the moment. RIP Dan and Marco

Elsewhere on Twitter, we have two weeks to catch up on as teams and drivers react to everything that went on in Korea, and then prepare for the fun and games that are bound to ensue in India. We're heading into a brand new circuit in India, where there are many unknowns. Some are more up for that than others, as some of my favourite tweets of the last two weeks show.

1. Sometimes you just need to let off a bit of steam.

3 races in Asia done. Fed up with noodles, tired, and only 2 points to show for it. #needtogethomeandseemykids

2. Twitter provides a new service - dates for your diary.

Keep December 10th free. Seb will be doing a Showcar Run in Milton Keynes. That's a date.

3. I just love the imagery in this, it's a perfect description.

Button is like that bad guy in terror movies: no matter how fast you run, he always catches you even if he's walking

4. Yay for Amy and Jeremy!!

Looks like @amyfulton may have brought us a little bit of luck today! Thanks for being our guest & thanks @AirAsia for bringing Amy.

6. I am mostly featuring this tweet because I never thought I'd see my F1 feed have the words "hot pink elephants" in it.

SNEAK PEAK of the hot pink elephants on India's Hugo Boss Dress Me For The Finale winning overalls! STUNNING design :-) http://pic.twitter.com/XgzkIN1b

The only official F1 Party in India get booking now http://bit.ly/qziprt Fri: Gurgaon after @Metallica & Sun: Taj Palace with @BoyGeorge

8. Excitement mixed with anticipation mixed with trepidation is the general vibe I am getting.

Getting packed ready for trip to Indian GP. Both hugely excited and unsure of what to expect - but it is going to be a weekend to remember

9. They haven't hosted one race yet, and now they want two!

With great timing, Mumbai appoints consortium to draw up masterplan and business case for F1 circuit. Should the Buddh circuit be worried?

10. Early weather forecasts, your mileage may vary.

#F1 India: Warm days, pleasant nights, full-on sunshine and no chance of rain all week. Early Greater Noida forecast - bit.ly/r8mQPE
