Turkey 2011 - Qualifying results - It's another pole position for Red Bull, as they deny Mercedes

Published by Christine

Qualifying in Turkey was a bit of a letdown after the build up of a fascinating couple of practice sessions. Red Bull had their car in perfect working order today, so much so that in the final ten minutes of qualifying, Vettel set the fastest lap and then climbed out of the car, job done. The only other thing of real note was Kamui Kobayashi's Sauber, which crawled to a stop in the first session and meant he couldn't take any part in qualifying, and set no time.

* Jérôme D'Ambrosio will take a five place grid drop for ignoring yellow flags in Free Practice 2.

** Kamui Kobayashi could not participate in qualifying after his car came to a halt. He will not fall foul of the 107% rule though, as the Sauber has shown good pace in earlier sessions.
