I thought we respected one another - Christine's Rankings, Week 34 - Potentially the biggest points loss the Rankings will ever see

Published by Christine

We all thought that the saga of Jenson Button following or not following his current and future teammates was over last week, when the Brit cleared up the situation quite nicely. The situation came to a fore once more, with Lewis Hamilton's spectacular rant about disrespect. Pot, kettle, etc, etc. Meanwhile, in other (more positive) points news, there are cute interviews, podium stumbles and getting in the spirit all adding to the driver tallies.

Movements for Week 34

  • +2 Felipe Massa: Making out that simulator work is, as @lookingspiffy put it "RAWK 'N' ROLL".
  • +1 Jenson Button: Having the confidence to quote Mariah Carey... for no apparent reason!
  • +3 Heikki Kovalainen: Loving Heikki's Fitness Challenges! This time, how much can you bench press? Answer: zero.
  • +2 Kamui Kobayashi: Becoming the latest driver to turn cameraman, getting behind the lens instead of in front of it.
  • +3 Sebastian Vettel: Running the risk of being accused of kidnapping, by carrying a child fan into the garage - great access!
  • +2 Nico Rosberg: Lots of points for effort at the piano, less points for effect.
  • +2 Kimi Räikkönen: Making his future contract news a little bit more exciting, with a countdown and fun video!
  • +5 Felipe Massa: Cuteness from Felipe for falling off the podium at Suzuka and knocking his champagne over!
  • +3 Kamui Kobayashi: Translating the podium interviews into Japanese for the listening crowds.
  • +4 Nico Rosberg: Rosberg getting in the spirit, despite a rubbish DNF: "Rather than being miserable i'm soaking in the crazy atmosphere at podium Kobayashi 3rd. Happy for the japanese peeps."
  • +2 Kamui Kobayashi: Lovely interview with an eight year old boy, during the Singapore GP weekend.
  • +2 Sergio Pérez: Lovely interview with an eight year old boy, during the Singapore GP weekend.
  • -20 Lewis Hamilton: Poor Lewis had a bit of a rant at Button on Twitter for allegedly unfollowing him. Caring who follows you to that degree is not a great start, calling out your teammate for something that didn't happen isn't clever, and bringing respect into it is completely OTT! He backtracked, but too little too late!
