The Unofficial F1 Monster Tour 2010 - Bonus adventures from Alex Snell's travels

Published by Christine

We've been following Alex Snell on his adventures since the start of the year, and he's met and networked with a lot of people. Just recently though, he's found himself being upstaged on the epic global tour, and it's by his own travelling companion. When Alex trotted off to Australia for the first race of the year, the only thing we knew about the Cookie Monster was that it made an appearance as his Twitter avatar. Since then, the monster has not only joined Alex at several locations, he's also dived further into the pitlane than anyone else ever could.

Spain

The Cookie Monster debuts on the F1 season tour at the Circuit du Catalunya, taking in the sunshine amongst the other fans.

Monaco

Off to the pinnacle of the F1 calendar, and the Cookie Monster is ready for his close up as they take to the grandstands.

Canada

The monster did turn up in Canada, but seems to be less about the track action and more about the night life.

Valencia

Back to European shores, the Cookie Monster basks in the sunshine at the Valencia street circuit.

Britain

I would have forgiven the monster for missing Silverstone, it's in the middle of nowhere and the weather is always questionable. However, he was game for anything, taking to a straw bale to enjoy some music.

Germany

Roll on Germany, and by this time the Cookie Monster is making friends in and around the paddock, getting pride of place in the Ferrari garage.

Singapore

Most of the track action didn't take place until the twilight hours in Singapore, but the monster was keen, hanging out amongst the motorhomes as soon as the paddock was open.

Japan

If Virgin Racing are looking for a replacement thanks to Di Grassi's mysterious sighter lap crash in Japan, I think they have a willing volunteer. He's light, has a tiny aero profile and he wouldn't even need a seat fitting.

Plus he knows the car inside and out.

Surely this must be the peak of the Cookie Monster's tour - where can he go from here?
