Sidepodcast - All for F1 and F1 for all

The end of a daily post era - Waving goodbye to the daily threads and embracing a new age of connectivity

Back at the end of July, we raised the idea that the daily was coming to the end of it's useful life. Comment numbers were dwindling and established social networks were creating far better tools for communication than we ever could.

This wasn't a popular suggestion, and we agreed to leave it a while and see what happened. Two months on, the situation has not improved, and so we have made the decision that we are going to stop publishing the daily posts. Yesterday's daily saw a whopping 31 comments made all day. That isn't fair on the writer, and it isn't a sensible use of everyone's time.

Therefore, the daily will come to a close on 30th September, meaning tomorrow will host the last daily thread on Sidepodcast.

I'd like to thank everyone who has volunteered for a daily post, whether it was a one-off or a regular feature. The variety and dedication has been astounding and brilliant. It's only fair to say goodbye to the daily posts whilst they are still getting comments, rather than leaving them languishing on the sidelines.

Guest posts are still very much encouraged, and the live threads will continue unchanged. I thought there was some excellent commenting during the sessions over the Singapore GP weekend.

Other than that, you can find us on Twitter, on Facebook and on Google+.
