The 2011 Formula 1 wing-thing explained - A simple to understand video for the new DRS technology

Published by Mr. C

If you're anything like me, interest in this year's brand new drag reduction system (DRS) diminished sometime around the 7th or 8th regulation change. Movable wings in F1 are not a new thing, but the introduction of the 2011 adjustable rear wing has been surrounded by confusion and uncertainty from the beginning.

Thankfully, although I've given up paying attention, others haven't and Sidepodcast's favourite illustrator ChainBear, has provided this timely explanation ahead of Free Practice 1 in Melbourne.

That is by far the best explanation i've seen thus far, I wonder if any national broadcasters will do a better job during their coverage?
