There was no major movement on the constructor side of the championship, although Williams did benefit from Ferrari's difficult weekend to pull out a small gap to hold their position in third. Button finished well into the points on Sunday, and has moved McLaren back to within a single point of their nearest rivals Force India.

McLaren are currently sixth in the championship but looking to regain some of their momentum in these last few races. Sauber appeared in the top ten occasionally throughout the race, giving hope they might be able to scoop their first point of the season, but it was not to be.
