Williams were so happy after moving into third place after the German Grand Prix, but the momentum came to an abrupt halt when Fernando Alonso finished second in Hungary. The podium position has allowed Ferrari back up into third, dropping Williams down to fourth - the gap between the two now seven points.

Sauber looked as though they could see at least one of their cars into the points in Hungary, with both in the top ten during the race. However, Gutiérrez retired with a mechanical problem and Sutil dropped down to 11th, meaning Sauber continue to sit with Caterham on zero points at the bottom of the table.
