The battle between Mercedes and Ferrari is fascinating to behold, as the pair only moved a little way forward after the racing in Nürburgring, and have managed to retain the gap between them from one event to the other. Red Bull extended their lead with a race victory and a recovering Webber getting into the points. McLaren also made an important jump towards Force India.
