Singapore 2012 - Race results - A full length race at the Marina Bay circuit sees Vettel inherit the lead

Published by Christine

Lewis Hamilton led the way as the race in Singapore began, but gearbox trouble saw him retire from the race handing the lead to Sebastian Vettel. The Red Bull driver wasn't troubled to the end, but behind him, there were plenty of ragged drives. Two Safety Car periods were required after Narain Karthikeyan stranded his HRT under the grandstands, and after Michael Schumacher smashed into the back of Jean-Éric Vergne.
