Sidepodcast Diaries is back after a failed restart attempt in 2008. Today Christine questions some events from last year before we dive headlong into 2009.

Christine: So here it is, Sidepodcast Diaries is back. It's a New Year's resolution of mine to bring the Diaries back and I'm hoping to do it weekly but no promises because last time I brought the Diaries back in February 2008, it lasted for 1 show, so fingers crossed I can do better this time.

It's 2009 now, so Happy New Year but for this first show I want to go back to 2008 because I have some unanswered questions. There are five of them, so let's get started.

1. If Heikki hadn't won a race last year, would he have been re-signed at McLaren? Because he really wasn't very good, was he?
2. Conversely, if Piquet had been any good, would he have been re-signed at Renault? Because we all know Alonso doesn't like fast rookies.
3. If Hamilton's girlfriend was ugly, would we have had so much coverage of her?
4. If Massa had got the hiccups in the lift, instead of just sneezing, would he have done more damage than a simple neck injury?
5. And finally, what if Toyota had teamed up with Kung Fu Panda, instead of the new Batman movie?
