Sexism in F1? Really? - The Australian Grand Prix set to encourage ticket sales to females

Published by Christine

The Australian Grand Prix is to offer cheaper tickets to female spectators in 2007. The organisers of the event have decided that F1 is a much too male dominated sport and are trying to encourage women to join in the party.

In a nice and sexist twist, the tickets are coloured pink for the girls and blue for the boys, because everyone knows that girls love pink. Especially the kind of girls that are going to be attending an F1 event.

Apparently, 85% of the normal spectators at the Melbourne event are male, and the organisers are very keen to get others not normally interested to attend.

Pink tickets. Genius.
