Seen it on TV - Christine's Rankings, Week 20 - Silverstone brings out the best and worst in the drivers

Published by Christine

Kimi learnt all he knows from TV

This week, the British Grand Prix saw some great television pieces by various drivers, some brilliant fan interaction at the track, and some fun photos and quotes along the way. It wasn't all positive, as we also saw Sergio Pérez suffer a big case of foot-in-mouth syndrome, but hopefully that's all behind us now. Points this week also go for lawnmower racing, for sneaking around with a flag, and doing some green screen work.

As always, your suggestions are welcome, if not absolutely vital, as Formula One heads rapidly towards the summer break. Keep your eyes on the drivers - now including Susie Wolff and Daniel Juncadella - and let me know if you spot them doing anything pointsworthy.

Movements for Week 20

  • +3 Daniel Ricciardo: Trying his absolute best to not smile for a photo and, well, failing.
  • +2 Lewis Hamilton: Getting involved with the latest craze, things that Tim Howard could save.
  • +1 Valtteri Bottas: Taking on his teammate in a Martini sponsored table football match.
  • +1 Felipe Massa: Taking on his teammate in a Martini sponsored table football match.
  • +1 Fernando Alonso: Showing his true feelings about this season once more, with this amusing exchange regarding potential finishing positions at Silverstone.
  • +1 Jenson Button: Taking some time for a spot of rock, paper, scissors. It'd be more points if there was lizard, spock added too.
  • +2 Kimi Räikkönen: Doing the right thing and sticking it out at Silverstone until everyone had an autograph.
  • +2 Sebastian Vettel: Sharing some smiles with the fans.
  • +4 Jenson Button: A really rather good impression of the Queen passing him his MBE. Good ol' Lizzie.
  • +10 Kimi Räikkönen: Having an absolute blast whilst beating the Sky Sports F1 boys at lawnmower racing AND showing off by removing a tear off from his helmet whilst in motion.
  • -6 Sergio Pérez: Huge fail from Pérez by "joking" that Susie Wolff should stay in the kitchen. He did apologise so I've tempered the points drop a little.
  • +2 Susie Wolff: A really good response to criticisms about her accent. Any time a driver can say neeps and tatties is fine by me.
  • +2 Romain Grosjean: Draping a French flag around Rosberg during some world cup viewing. Fun times!
  • +5 Lewis Hamilton: Really good skydiving stunts, but mostly for being a good actor and having fun in front of the green screens!
  • +2 Felipe Massa: Trying to encourage Rob Smedley to take a penalty on Sky Sports F1's Friday night Silverstone special. "I have a broken foot." "But you have two!"
  • +2 Daniil Kvyat: Having a good go at playing the drums during post-Silverstone celebrations.
