Red Bull's Renault - Engine deals with Ferrari and Toro Rosso cause concern

Published by Christine

2007 will see Red Bull passing their Ferrari engines to Scuderia Torro Rosso and themselves taking on a Renault engine.

Red Bull signed a contract with Renault in September for engine supply, but Ferrari were digging their heels in. Specifically, Jean Todt was not particularly impressed with the deal, as their contract was specific to Red Bull Racing and not Torro Rosso.

Now, perhaps because Jean Todt is moving onwards and upwards, or perhaps because the Frenchman is mellowing in his post-Schumacher era, the contract issues have been sorted out and the deal is ready to start in the new season.

A Red Bull with Adrian Newey design and Renault engine. That'll be interesting to set eyes on.
