Lewis Hamilton had a poor start to the race, but made up for it during the afternoon to regain his position in the lead. He took the chequered flag and won, with teammate Nico Rosberg settling for second place. Behind them, there was overtaking aplenty. Valtteri Bottas got caught up behind Hamilton's bad start and lost a lot of position but boy did he reclaim them during the race.

Daniel Ricciardo was also on a mission, making his way through the field and ending up ahead of his teammate to finish fifth. Kevin Magnussen was given a five second penalty for pushing another driver off track, so he crossed the line in seventh place but dropped back to tenth when the time was added.
