Qualifying results - Germany 2013 - Mercedes make some mistakes but take pole position regardless

Published by Christine

Lewis Hamilton scored a surprise pole position, during a session that was predicted to favour the Red Bull duo. His Mercedes team made a mistake during Q2, leaving their drivers in the garage as the track got faster, which saw Nico Rosberg drop out and qualify 11th. They battled back for pole position with the other car though, ahead of the two Red Bulls, with the two Lotus drivers next in line.
