Qualifying results - Britain 2013 - Lewis Hamilton takes pole position for home Grand Prix

The surprises started early in the qualifying session, as one half of the Williams team dropped out in Q1, and the other half couldn't make it much further. Jenson Button and Felipe Massa both dropped out in the second session, whilst Fernando Alonso was only fast enough for tenth place on the grid. It was, as expected, between Mercedes and Red Bull for pole, and Lewis Hamilton streaked into the lead with a very strong lap.
