Mercedes had the edge, which comes as no surprise to anyone, but they weren't their traditional two seconds ahead. In fact, the full top ten were split by just 1.8 seconds, which feels like things are getting a little bit closer.

Daniel Ricciardo put in a great drive but the work was negated straight away with the knowledge the Red Bull driver has to have a ten place drop tomorrow.

There were surprises for Red Bull and Ferrari, and the final few laps were full of lockups throughout, but in the end there could only be one team on top.
