New tyres sorted - The disagreements with Bridgestone look to be over

Published by Christine

Bridgestone have finally sorted out the contracts for the remaining F1 teams, those that were on Michelin tyres last year.

It was a news item a few weeks ago that some of the suppliers were asking Michelin if they would be able to supply tyres for the winter testing, because the contract signing between the new supplier and themselves was not going as smoothly or quickly as hoped.

It looks like all their differences have now been ironed out and all eleven teams will have shiny, new Bridgestone tyres to play with when they start testing in Barcelona at the end of the month.

I'm still not happy about this one tyre supplier, especially the edge it gives Ferrari, but at least this means the other teams aren't lagging even further behind in testing.
