More relaxing than your driving - Christine's Rankings, Week 13 - In which a bumper crop of points come from the Spanish GP and before

Published by Christine

The Spanish Grand Prix offered up plenty of opportunity for points, but none more so than seeing how the paddock responded to the Williams fire. If we still had team rankings, there would be bucketloads being handed out, but the drivers did the best they could too. Pastor Maldonado, race winner, picks up the most in one go this week, after the now infamous piggy back. In other news this week, we finally get to see the results of Vettel's Kung Fu movie, whilst Fernando has a hot beverage.

Movements for Week 13

  • +1 Fernando Alonso: Points for both Alonso and Massa for their Gilles Villeneuve commemorations with Ferrari.
  • +1 Felipe Massa: Points for both Alonso and Massa for their Gilles Villeneuve commemorations with Ferrari.
  • +2 Pastor Maldonado: Fun and games at Ducati, although Gaby may need to rethink her shoe choice to ride that thing!
  • +1 Pedro de la Rosa: Interesting to see if this starts a trend of drivers wearing short shorts.
  • +2 Giedo van der Garde: Interesting video from Caterham about Giedo's seat fitting in the factory - he calls the process "quite normal."
  • +6 Kamui Kobayashi: Staying late to help fix the car: You broke it, you fix it. After @kamui_kobayashi damaged the underbody of the #C31 in Mugello, he helped to repair it. No PR campaign, just @kamui_kobayashi offering to help the team late at night! Thanks mate, great gesture!
  • +1 Mark Webber: Very naughty, pressing all the buttons in the lift. I do like the hashtag #teenagetricks though.
  • +2 Heikki Kovalainen: Mascots being found in the F1 paddock will never get old. Love the Angry Bird!
  • -2 Pastor Maldonado: If Pastor is looking for a new car, I think I would steer clear of the Renault Twizy. It's weird.
  • -1 Fernando Alonso: F for Ferrari, or F for Fernando?
  • +3 Heikki Kovalainen: Providing some reassurance from the paddock that family members are safe.
  • +5 Fernando Alonso: Lifting up the winning driver on his debut victory is a fabulous sight - and great co-operation between Alonso and Räikkönen.
  • +5 Kimi Räikkönen: Lifting up the winning driver on his debut victory is a fabulous sight - and great co-operation between Alonso and Räikkönen.
  • +7 Pastor Maldonado: One of the lasting images from the Williams fire will be Maldonado with his cousin on his back. True superhero style.
  • -3 Sebastian Vettel: The Kung Fu Vettel thing could have been very good but... it's not.
  • -1 Michael Schumacher: Rollerblading round the circuit rather than running/walking? It's innovative, I suppose.
