Monaco 2012 - Qualifying results - A mixed up session in Monte Carlo provides the potential for a great race

It started with Sergio Pérez crashing into the barrier, who was swiftly followed by a similar move by Jean-Éric Vergne. Pastor Maldonado did really well, despite going into the session knowing he would be dropping ten places down following an incident in FP3. Jenson Button struggled on his tyres and failed to get out of the second session, leaving the top ten shootout in the hands of Lewis Hamilton. The McLaren was nowhere, though, and it was Schumacher who took pole position - but also takes a five place penalty from Spain, handing P1 to Mark Webber.
