Monaco 2012 - Free Practice 2 results - Jenson Button takes over the top stop in a weather hit session

Published by Christine

Rain came to the principality after just half an hour of running in second practice, meaning any hopes of gathering tyre data were dashed. Jenson Button set the fastest time on the super-soft tyres before the weather turned, whilst Lewis Hamilton settled for the 11th fastest time of the afternoon. There were a couple of incidents, as Pastor Maldonado brushed against the unforgiving Monaco walls, and both Bruno Senna and Felipe Massa lost the racing line at Mirabeau, but all the engines remained in tact this time.
