Monaco 2011 - Qualifying results - HRT struggle to take part, as crashes dominate the session

Tonio Liuzzi's crash in practice meant that the first session was decided almost before it had begun. Neither HRT car made it out of the garage for this session. Worryingly, Sergio Pérez suffered a near identical incident to that of Nico Rosberg, except he crashed into the barriers rather than missing them. A lengthy red flag period was capped off with Sebastian Vettel on pole, and Lewis Hamilton unable to capitalise on the risk he'd taken by saving it all for one lap.
