Michael Schumacher helps Mercedes top Barcelona day four - Spanish testing continues with several engine changes

Published by Christine

Mercedes made the most of testing in Barcelona today, with Michael Schumacher taking the fastest time and Nico Rosberg taking the third spot on the timesheets. Although it was the final day of testing for some teams, Mercedes will be present tomorrow as the pre-season testing comes to it's conclusion.

Fernando Alonso was second for Ferrari, sandwiched between the two Mercedes drivers, with Nick Heidfeld in the Renault in fourth. Red Bull, who dominated the first two day's of testing, were far down the order, with Sebastian Vettel finishing eighth. Vettel also managed to cause a red flag towards the end of the day.

Both Williams and McLaren had to change their engines which halted some of their running, whilst HRT introduced their new car but couldn't run it due to a lack of parts.
