Ian Philips could be in a spot of bother, as Force India have taken active steps to rubbish anything the man might have said.

It looks as though Philips was pretty forthcoming about the rumoured Fisichella move to Ferrari, and the team aren't quite so keen on sharing such speculation.

The official press release from the team:

Ian Philips’ comments do not reflect the views of the Force India Formula One Team Management since he is not the designated spokesperson for the team nor is he authorized to speak to the media. His comments should therefore be ignored.  We completely deny as baseless, whatever is reportedly attributed to him in reports that have appeared in a section of the press a short while ago.

Harsh but fair? Is Philips' position at the company in trouble? How are the team going to look if Fisi does make that move?
