Malaysia may not last - Bernie Ecclestone turns his attention to Sepang

The Malaysian Grand Prix is the next on the list to start looking as though it has a shaky future. The contract for F1 runs to 2010 which is ridiculously far in the future for me to contemplate, but apparently makes news in 2007.

The chairman of the Sepang circuit has gone on record to say that an extension of the contract is looking doubtful. As usual it is all about the money and the facilities and the safety and things like that.

The real reason I wanted to share this story is because Dato Mokhzani Tun Mahathir, said chairman, shared the best quote ever:

We are in negotiations with Mr. Ecclestone and as you can imagine that is not a straightforward thing.

You don't say.
