Malaysia 2012 - Free Practice 2 results - Second practice in Malaysia finds Lewis Hamilton fastest

Lewis Hamilton made it two in a row by topping the second session of practice on Friday. This time he was doing battle with the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher, who finished second - splitting the two McLarens. Sebastian Vettel dropped down the order to tenth, and was audibly frustrated with the performance of the tyres. He wasn't the only one; many of the other drivers complained that the tyres were behaving strangely in the heat, but that just encouraged them to put more laps in to get more data. Meanwhile, Felipe Massa's new chassis saw him good enough for 16th - perhaps not the improvement he was hoping for.
