Malaysia 2012 - Driver standings - Fernando Alonso heads to the top of the standings after victory

Fernando Alonso's win pushes him through to the top spot, leading the championship ahead of the two McLaren drivers. Mark Webber sits firmly in fourth, with Pérez now well in the hunt in fifth place. Michael Schumacher picked up a single point this weekend - the first for Mercedes this year, whilst Bruno Senna secured Williams a full eight points to get their year off to a better start than the previous one.
