Malaysia 2011 - Race results - Red Bull lead the way, as the retirements stack up

With so many pit stops, it was a hard race to keep track of, but the key point was that Sebastian Vettel started in front, and remained in front throughout. The McLaren boys struggled but kept up the pace to battle him, and it was another good day for Renault who get their second podium in as many races.

* Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were both handed 20 second time penalties after the race was complete (Hamilton for weaving, Alonso for the avoidable accident with Hamilton). Alonso retains his 6th place, whilst Hamilton drops to 8th, Kobayashi moving up to 7th.
