Italy 2012 - Race results - Pérez pops up on the podium, as Hamilton wins the race in Monza

Lewis Hamilton took victory in a race peppered with controversial incidents. Sebastian Vettel was penalised for pushed Fernando Alonso off track, but the former retired from the race anyway. Teammate Mark Webber also did not see the chequered flag, the first double DNF for Red Bull for a long while. Button also failed to finish, allowing Sergio Pérez up into second after a great one-stop run to the podium.
