The first free practice session gave drivers the chance to test out the track for the first time, and to see how the Pirelli tyres held out. Some conclusions were made - firstly that dogs shouldn't be allowed on track, that you should adhere to yellow flags, and the harder compound may be a little bit too hard. Other moments of note include Jaime Alguersuari crashing out, Fernando Alonso stopping out on track, and Sebastian Vettel having a massive wobble across the grass/mud.
