Although not quite a launch, HRT have revealed some graphic images of their 2011 car, the F111, featuring a brand new livery. The team confirmed a few weeks ago that they had brought Hollywood designer Daniel Simon on board to revamp their brand, and this is our first glimpse at what he has been working on.

The livery has been inverted from last year's dark grey colour so that the body is mostly white with the back merging into a chequered flag leading to the dark rear end of the car.

The worrying part of the livery is the lack of sponsorship, but HRT have not just left blocks of clean colour in place of logos. They've featured distinct areas of the car with the messages "your logo here" and "this could be you". It's not clear if this is just a bit of a gimmick for these images, or if the car would ever appear in reality with such writing emblazoned on the side, but it certainly lessons the impact of the livery.

Nevertheless, the boss of HRT, Jose Ramon Carabante, is pleased with the images of the car so far, but admits that the chassis will be a work in progress throughout 2011.

We feel really proud of the car our drivers will run this forthcoming season. We are very pleased to introduce the first spec of the F111, which means a huge design-effort from our side. This is only a first step as we are planning several updates during the season.

The car still has not finished all it's mandatory crash tests, and HRT have already confirmed they are aiming for the final pre-season test in Bahrain before the season gets underway proper.
