Honda's newest plans - A sponsorship deal with UK F1 broadcasters ITV

Published by Christine

Apparently, Honda are going to be sponsoring the ITV coverage of F1. It's down to be announced on Saturday. The deal includes both qualifying and races on the main ITV channel, plus race highlights on ITV4 (I didn't know such a thing existed!).

It should also affect the ITV-F1 website, probably meaning Honda logo's plastered all over the place. It's hard to say whether it could possibly make the new red and black design look any worse.

Supposedly, the idea behind this sponsorship is to raise Honda's profile with the target F1 demographic - sporty, young males. It seems to me that anyone actually paying attention to Formula 1 is going to head for a BMW instead.
