GPLive - The Ultimate F1 Experience - Preparing for the brand new event at Donington Park

Published by Mr. C

As Christine mentioned the other day, it's GPLive this month and Sidepodcast will be attending.

Now aside from the fact that the event should really be called 'F1 Live' (if only Bernie would allow it), what basically happens is - between the 18th and the 20th May a whole bunch of famous names from the world of F1 (and Paul Stoddart) will turn up at Donington Park, along with more than 200 classic Grand Prix cars, to give something back to fans of motor sport.

If you fancy reminiscing on the days when tyres were slick, the racing was close and little men had to run to their cars in order to start a Grand Prix, then this is an event for you. It's not all about the old cars of course, there will be modern machinery on show too. Red Bull will be demonstrating their RB01 chassis while this year's latest Renault powered RB3 will be on static display.

If you're planning to go, keep an eye out for us. We'll be wearing our Sidepodcast paraphernalia so we're easy to spot. Stop by and say "Hi" because we might grab your opinion on the event. Needless to say we'll be covering everything in a future podcast.

In the meantime, you can find more information on the GPLive website and don't forget to check out the show where we took a trip to Donington Park, as well as the video of the Grand Prix Collection.
