This year the Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking place between 28th June and 1st July in the grounds of Goodwood House in near Chichester, West Sussex.
You can meet a variety of people at Goodwood including drivers from all areas of motorsport and the occasional Sidepodcast commenter. Over the years there have been some fabulous photos taken by Sidepodpeople at the event and I’m expecting some amazing examples this year too.
There are two Diamond jubilees being celebrated with a display of Royal vehicles, including toy cars, and a celebration of 60 years of the Mercedes Benz SL.

This year the central display in front of Goodwood House is celebrating the Lotus marque. I’m going on Saturday and plan to be at this display between 12:00 and 13:00 (GMT +1). Some people like to add their own touches to the sculpture!
