Germany 2012 - Race results - Fernando Alonso is on top for the third time, winning in Hockenheim

Published by Christine

Ferrari have their third victory of the 2012 season, with Jenson Button finishing second and Kimi Räikkönen picking up third place. Sebastian Vettel was actually on the podium in second place before a stewards investigation ruled his overtake on Button was illegal, and demoted him to fifth place. Elsewhere, Lewis Hamilton was the only retirement, whilst Nico Rosberg improved dramatically from the rear of the grid to pick up a point.
