Germany 2012 - Free Practice 3 results - Fernando Alonso takes top honours in final practice at Hockenheim

The rain held off in final practice until the dying moments of the session when it really came down. Fernando Alonso had managed to post the fastest time before the deluge, with Lewis Hamilton also looking strong. Conversely, Jenson Button in the other McLaren finished the session last, sparing no time on the shorter qualifying-style run. Also a mention for Charles Pic who only completed 9 laps as the team were forced to change his engine.
