Dry but breezy conditions faced the drivers as they headed into the final hour of practice before qualifying. Mercedes and Red Bull proved that they are the teams to watch as they locked out the first four positions. Further back, Sergio Pérez suffered a severe puncture that damaged the car and halted his running. The Toro Rosso duo were still looking reasonably strong.
