Free Practice 2 results - Britain 2013 - Mercedes and Red Bull tussle for supremacy in busy session

Published by Christine

Things picked up from the quiet morning session into the afternoon, as the track started to dry out. Mercedes and Red Bull were the two teams showing the most promise under the grey Silverstone skies, but Toro Rosso continued to show well. Felipe Massa was the driver to spin this time, the Ferrari heading off track out of the Stowe corner, straight into the barriers, with nose and suspension damage. Nico Rosberg was the fastest driver, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber behind him.
